Happy Holidays
book-shelf-349934.jpg

The kids are gone but life is far from over.  In fact, it is just beginning.  If you had imagined grabbing a boxed lunch and picnicking in Central Park, a stroll on the High Line or dining al fresco with the locals at your favorite restaurant, you're in luck.  Your dream is now on sale!

Your four-times-a-year jaunt into the city can be a thing of the past.  Instead of fighting traffic through the tunnel ($15, ouch) and finding that parking garage ($50, more ouch) that isn't full and won't ding the car; your new home could be a few steps or a short Uber ride away.

As NYC opens up post COVID-19, the life you envision remains a possibility.  Invest in your dream today at a discount.  The new exhibits at the Whitney and MOMA, shopping on Madison Ave., take your pick.  And great seats to that off-Broadway play, lecture, concert and ball game are going to happen sooner than you think.

Moving into the city?  Manhattan?  Absolutely!

The Best Movies Of 2020

Why don’t all movies just come out online?” they asked in those B.C. (before COVID) years. “Who needs movie theaters?” they wondered. Then, in 2020, when the theaters shut down and the films came out online, many of those same people wondered, “Hey, what happened to all the movies?” We live in a world of many truths. One is that, with just about everything consigned to a streaming or on-demand release, there was an incredible bounty of films this year — smaller films, in some cases, but certainly more diverse in style, tone, subject matter, story, and origin. The other is that movies still, in many ways, need movie theaters, lest they sink into the all-consuming swamp that is content online, failing to raise the attention of its intended audience — or any audience, really.  CLICK HERE to read about the best in film for 2020.

The Best Books Of 2020

The list according to NPR

Each fall, we reach out to our staffers and trusted critics and ask them to nominate their favorite books of the year. They respond with hundreds of titles. Then, the editors and producers at NPR Books sit down with a huge spreadsheet of responses; we select our favorites, resolve duplications, note omissions and consider the overall mix and balance of books recommended.

108 East 86th Street  Apt. 10N -  Featured Property

On a purely practical level, your 3 large bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms allow for growth and privacy. The vented washer and dryer are a must have, and you check off that box. The triple exposure is unique and extraordinary. And your classic style eat-in kitchen is to die for; if I wasn't a cook before, I certainly would become one. I love your gentle northerly light in the main rooms. The fact that you're move-in ready is a bonus, although there may be some touch up work in your not-to-distant-future.
